There is no better time for chai than the colder months of the year. Chai stands for comfort, guilt-free indulgence and abundance of warming spices.

This is why we created not one, not two, but four chai (masala) blends!

We’ve made sure to craft caffeinated and caffeine-free blends to suit all ages and tolerances.

Organic Masala Spice Chai

Traditional Indian Masala spices blended with strong Assam black tea. The aromatic blend is complemented with the addition of Rooibos, which gives the brewed tea a touch of sweetness. All ingredients are organic certified.

Rooibos Masala

Organic South African Rooibos blended with the most beloved oriental chai spices in this fully aromatic herbal blend. Fennel, aniseed, licorice root, cardamom seeds, black pepper, cinnamon pieces, cloves and ginger pieces are fused together with organic rooibos. Excellent with milk and honey, this cup is a popular caffeine free choice.

Cocoa Orange Masala

A wonderful emporium of ingredients and oriental spices bring you the most desired beverage, that can be enjoyed throughout the day. Created with cocoa cores, orange peel, cinnamon and ginger pieces, this herbal tea is also blended with licorice root, cloves, fennel, cardamom seeds, safflower blossoms, pink pepper and a dash of orange chocolate. Unwind and indulge in the blissfully flavoured spices.

Pu Erh Masala

This is a treasure chest of Pu-erh tea, complimented with spices from the Orient. The mouthwatering combination features fennel, aniseed, licorice root, cardamom seeds, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger and cloves, giving a unique flavour and zest-filled aroma with a sweet aftertaste.

What is Chai?

Chai or Masala chai as we like to refer to it at AVANTCHA, is a tea popular drink originating from India and uses bold black tea, aromatic spices like ginger, cardamom and cloves, and milk.

Over the year, chai became so popular and spread all around the world, trending in cafes in New York City, London and Berlin.

How to make a chai at home?

Using our pre-blended teas and herbals, it is very easy. We suggest making a masala chai concentrate that can keep in the fridge for up to 10 days.

Chai Concentrate Recipe

  1. Using any of the masala/chai blends above, add 10g of tea to 300ml of boiling water.

  2. Allow it to infuse for minimum 30 min.

  3. Strain the tea leaves. Add your sweetener of choice. We love adding honey or agave syrup. A touch of vanilla extract is divine

  4. Allow it to cool before transferring in the fridge

Serving

Use equal parts of chai concentrate and milk. Equally delicious hot or cold. Full fat milk will yield a creamy, indulging drink. For vegan friendly chai, we love oat milk.
