Magnolia Oolong
About Magnolia Oolong
A beautiful Chinese oolong tea made from the famous Jin Xuan cultivar grown in Da Ming Shan organic tea gardens in Shanglin, surrounded by deep forest. This tea is scented the traditional way in Guangxi, China where jasmine tea production also takes place. The combination of the creamy, milky notes of the Jin Xuan cultivar with the floral, slightly spicy perfume of magnolia creates an enchanting, more-ish infusion that's ideal in the late mornings or afternoon when you want to restore your senses.
About Guangxi
A lesser known region for growing tea, some truly fine examples emerge as tea masters in the area quietly cultivate teas in ancient ways as well as new, innovative ones. The terroir is hilly and rugged, with intense rainfall and subtropical conditions that are ideal for growing tea - particularly oolongs, jasmine tea, and flowers.
Cultivation
Whole magnolia flowers are laid overnight with the tea leaves to naturally impart their soft, sweet floral fragrance.
