About Organic Dong Ding

Enjoy the clear and pure character of this biscuity, fruity Organic Dong Ding - a Chinese Oolong Tea made from the Qing Xin Ruan Zhi cultivar. Grown in Da Ming Shan - a perse organic tea garden (a rare find for a Chinese oolong of this kind) surrounded by deep forest at 1100m above sea level in Guangxi province.

About Guangxi

A lesser known region for growing tea, some truly fine examples emerge as tea masters in the area quietly cultivate teas in ancient ways as well as new, innovative ones. The terroir is hilly and rugged, with intense rainfall and subtropical conditions that are ideal for growing tea - particularly oolongs, jasmine tea, and osmanthus flowers.

Cultivation

Tea master Liang Jian Shan works with their team to hand pluck the leaves in the middle of May, oxidising them to 25%, before roasting them over charcoal to impart a deep flavour with notes of fruit, rye and spice.

Effects

A rousing and warming tea with biscuity flavour that comforts the body with each sip. Oolong teas are known for their ability to ease digestion and invigorate the body, which makes them ideal for enjoying in the afternoon when you need a pick-me-up.

How to Enjoy

Pair with salty food like good parmesan cheese, or light fruits like pears.
