About Matcha

Cultivation & Processing
Grown in shaded plantations, only the top Tencha tea leaves are picked in the first flush of spring by skilled farmers before being ground in stone mills to ultra fine powder.

To prepare, sift 1 AVANTCHA Matcha spoon of powder (1.5g) into bowl or press whisk down several times to break up and loosen the powder. Add 10mlof room temperature water and whisk to a paste, then add 60ml hot water (60°C) and whisk briskly until a consistent, frothy layer is formed.
