About Rooibos Vanilla Earl Grey Tin

This Rooibos Vanilla Earl Grey is an aromatic and slightly sweet herbal interpretation of the popular Earl Grey tea. Long lengths of comforting rooibos infused with bergamot oil and vanilla, blended with French lavender blossoms, jasmine blooms and a sprinkle of cornflower petals make this caffeine-free Earl Grey alternative deeply satisfying and moreish. Immerse your senses in the soft, sensuous fragrance, and the lasting, flavourful sips. Packed into elegant black tea tin caddies, the tea is protected from air, light, moisture and odour, meaning perfect flavour with every cup. This format also makes a thoughtful and stylish gift.

About Rooibos

Rooibos, also known as red bush tea, originates from South Africa and is made from the leaves of the Aspalathus Linearis plant. The tea is characterised by its mild, sweet flavour with hints of vanilla or nutty undertones and contains no caffeine. There is also a green variant of this tea. Rooibos can be enjoyed hot or cold and is gaining worldwide popularity, particularly due to its caffeine-free nature and pleasant flavour profile.

Cultivation

Rooibos is primarily cultivated in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape region of South Africa. This unique area provides the ideal climatic conditions for the growth of the Aspalathus Linearis plant. The combination of sandy soils and winter rainfall contributes to the distinctive quality of rooibos tea. The plants used for organic rooibos are grown sustainably, without the use of pesticides. After harvesting, the leaves are cut and traditionally fermented in the sun, which gives rooibos its characteristic red colour and mild flavour.

Effects

Rooibos tea is valued for its potential health benefits and pleasant flavour profile. The antioxidants, such as aspalathin and quercetin, can help to neutralise free radicals and exhibit anti-inflammatory effects. Studies suggest that Rooibos may have positive effects on the cardiovascular system, potentially lowering blood pressure and supporting blood vessel health.

How to Enjoy

This Rooibos Vanilla tea reveals its full flavour when enjoyed pure or with a splash of milk. It is also ideal as a refreshing iced tea on warm days, and makes a lovely ingredient in baking. The gentle vanilla notes pair beautifully with sweet treats like vanilla crescents, lemon cake, or pastries with fruit fillings. Refine the tea with a hint of honey or maple syrup to enhance the sweet, floral taste.
