A comforting and warming Roasted Tie Guan Yin oolong tea from Anxi County, Fujian, China, grown by the 6th generation of a family that has always specialised in the cultivation of this tea. This oolong tea is produced in the traditional way, to retain the original spirit of this famous tea. It is picked in the autumn and oxidised at around 40% before being roasted slowly over charcoal to impart a gently toasted quality. These small rolls of tea unfurl into large, marbled olive-green leaves that offer a roasted-sweet fragrance with aromas of nuts. The infusion is golden, profoundly aromatic and clear. The feeling in the mouth is soft and creamy and gives way to a mellow honey flavour with buttery herbs and a touch of minerality. Owing to the excellent quality of this tea, it will stand up to multiple infusions, offering nuanced changes as you carefully savour each cup.
