Frequently Asked Questions
What is Cold Brew Tea?
Cold brew tea is tea that has been made with cold water and left to slowly infuse until the desired strength is achieved. If you’re wondering why you would cold brew tea, it’s because this method extracts more nuanced flavours and less astringency, resulting in a sweet, smooth, and cold beverage that’s ideal on hot days.
Can I Make Matcha with Cold Water?
You certainly can. The easiest way to enjoy Matcha is actually to add a couple of AVANTCHA measuring spoons full to a bottle of water, give it a vigorous shake, and sip as a cool alternative to hot coffee.
Should I Add Sugar to Iced Tea?
It’s up to you. If you do, we like to use syrups since this is easier and we recommend a ratio of 1 part syrup to 6 parts iced tea for a balanced flavour that isn’t overly sugary.
What’s the Difference Between Cold Brew & Iced Tea?
Cold brew tea is made with cold water and isn’t served with ice, whereas iced tea is made with hot water, left to cool, and then poured over ice.
