Rooibos, meaning “red bush” in Afrikaans, is unique to South Africa and has been enjoyed for centuries as a naturally caffeine-free infusion. Indigenous communities first used it for its soothing qualities, and today it is valued worldwide for its gentle taste, versatility, and natural wellbeing benefits.
Cultivation & Processing
Rooibos is harvested once a year in South Africa’s Cederberg mountains. The fine stems and leaves are cut, bruised, and left to oxidise in the sun, turning a rich red and developing their naturally sweet, mellow flavour before being dried and graded.
How to Enjoy
Pair Orange Blossom Rooibos alongside buttery eclairs or nutty hazelnut pastries or, for a surprising twist, enjoy it with the warm, bold flavours of a spicy beef curry.
