We adore Iced Tea and Cold Brew at AVANTCHA, which is why this category has been curated by our Tea Sommelier to offer a wealth of full-bodied flavour to enjoy all year round. Iced Tea is brewed hot, then poured over ice. Cold Brew is steeped slowly in cool or room temperature water, drawing out a different expression of the tea. Try both styles and enjoy it your way.
Everything you need to know for a perfect cup, in one place.
Cold Brew tea is made by steeping tea leaves in cold water for several hours, producing a naturally sweet flavour. Iced tea is typically brewed hot and then chilled, which can result in a stronger taste and you can even add flavourful syrups.
To make Cold Brew tea, add your loose leaf tea or teabag to cold or room temperature filtered water in a teapot or bottle. Use about 1g of tea per 100ml of water. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours depending on your desired strength. Remove the leaves and enjoy a smooth, refreshing, naturally sweet tea.
To make Iced tea, brew your tea leaves or tea bags in hot water as usual, then let it cool to room temperature. Pour over a glass filled with ice, or chill in the fridge for a few hours. You can add fresh fruit, or a touch of sweetener if you like.
A good iced tea stands out for its refreshing. High quality iced teas often use premium loose leaf, sometimes with natural fruit, herbs, or floral notes, for a delicious experience.
