We originally blended this tea as something spectacular for a friend in Mexico and yet we loved it so much, we knew we had to add it to our range. Prickly Cactus Fig is a spiky, pear-like plant from Mexico aka ‘Nopal’ or ‘Tuna’ (yes, really) that was considered sacred by the Aztecs and is well-loved in modern Mexican cuisine. It’s juicy, it’s fruity, it’s fun (and touted as an excellent medicine)…this herbal tea is made from a blend of natural cactus fig pieces, papaya, pear, apples and rosebuds. A beautiful tea to watch infuse as each element releases its colour, flavour and fragrance, particularly the rosebuds that impart a comforting floral scent. The flavour is soft, sweet and juicy, and works well as an iced tea, too for its hydrating and refreshing qualities.
