Raise your glass to this Hojicha and Prosecco Cordial Fizz, a sparkling twist using our AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder and the celebratory bubbles of prosecco. It’s the kind of drink that surprises you in the best possible way. Ideal for brunches, gatherings, or any moment worth a toast.
Ingredients (for 4)
- For the clarified Hojicha tea
- 30g of AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder
- 400ml of water
- 0.8mg of agar agar
- For the AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder cordial
- 180ml of clarified AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha
- 180g of caster sugar
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- For the cocktail mix
- 160ml of AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha cordial
- 480ml of Prosecco
- 20ml of fresh lemon juice
- 1 unit of lemon
Directions (for 4)
For the clarified AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder tea
- Combine water and AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder in a pot and mix well to dissolve.
- Add agar agar powder and mix thoroughly to dissolve. Bring to boil for a few seconds.
- Transfer the mixture to a container and let it cool down. Refrigerate to set into a loose jelly.
- Once set, break down into curds.
- Place a muslin cloth over a sieve to strain the curds. Let them drip slowly for couple of hours or in fridge overnight.
- (For a clearer result, discard the initial drops).
For the AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha cordial
- Combine clarified tea, caster sugar and lemon juice, bring to boil.
- Simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Transfer to a jar and let it cool down. Transfer to the fridge.
For the cocktail mix
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail glass and stir well with ice. Serve in a chilled glass.
- Serve with a lemon wedge.
