Easy to Make Iftar Iced Tea

As Ramadan is falling during the hot month of May, it is crucial to stay hydrated and drink more after Iftar and during Suhoor. Nothing quenches your thirst and refreshes the soul like an icy cold glass of lemon & mint iced tea. Our blend of Organic Mint Duo with fresh lemon juice is simple to make and ready in minutes.

Sure to revitalise you after a long day of fasting, this combination is as healthy as it is delicious. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and are effective for boosting the immune system. Mint aids digestion and acts as an anti-inflammatory, making it the perfect addition to ensure you feel cleansed and refreshed.

Ingredients

Makes 1 glass

  • 2g/1tbsp Organic Mint Duo
  • 200ml boiling water
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon (plus lemon for garnish – optional)
  • Ice
  • 2 tsp brown sugar / honey / agave syrup
  • Mint for garnish (optional)
  • 200ml boiling water
  • Brew for 3 minutes

Method

In a teapot brew the Organic Mint Duo with boiling water. Leave for 5 minutes.

  • Add the brown sugar to the brewing tea so that it dissolves
  • Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a glass and fill the glass with ice
  • Once the brewing time is complete, pour the tea directly over the ice and lemon.
  • Give it a good mix with a long spoon and garnish with lemon and mint if using.

AVANTCHA Tip: Make a large jug of this and store in the fridge for up to 3 days
