A rare organic Japanese black tea from Kirishima, picked early in April at 390m altitude from the first flush of the season. Benifuuki is a hybrid of a Darjeeling cultivar and a Japanese cultivar descended from India. The combination of these varieties creates a tea that is superbly floral (rose), with fruity notes of lychee and muscatel, with a medium astringency and a touch of toasted malt. Enjoy with bittersweet orange marmalade on toast, or other breakfast foods such as barley cereal.
